What this checker actually does
Paste a job description and your resume. FitToHire reads every requirement in the posting, then decides, requirement by requirement, whether your experience supports it. You get a fit score, the requirements you meet, the ones you do not, and the exact line from your resume that serves as evidence for each match.
Why keyword checkers get it wrong
Most resume checkers compare words. They look for the posting's exact phrases in your resume, so "React.js" and "ReactJS" count as two different skills and a qualified candidate loses points for word choice. FitToHire matches on meaning instead, across 187,000 skills in 26 industries, which is why it recognises that "Kubernetes on AWS" and "cloud infrastructure" describe the same work, and reads "led a team of five engineers" as evidence of management experience even when the word "management" never appears.
The same resume always gets the same score
Ask a general-purpose chatbot to score a resume twice and you get two different answers, which makes a 78 on one job and a 72 on another meaningless next to each other. FitToHire returns the same score for the same inputs every time, so a list of roles is genuinely sortable and you can see whether an edit actually moved anything.
What you need to run one
A job description and a resume, as a file or pasted text. FitToHire accepts PDF, DOCX and TXT. Your first full report is free and does not need a card. Your resume text is stored encrypted so you can edit and re-run without uploading again, and it is deleted automatically afterwards.
